Just wasn't giving it enuf time for the next window to open before, thought I wasn't doing something right and it wasn't responding. Well, thank you SO very much - an educational experience, to be sure, you helped me explore many murky corners of this Windows I'd been in at some point previously but n ever could have found without help, and surely learned some things in the process. You'd probly be surprised, but i actually spec'd out and built this desktop myself about 3 years ago - when my old used PC wouldn't render home]video without dropping too many frames.
Did a bunch of research, found out what was desirable nd what wasn't, found the individual components in various places - actually quite a bit of it on eBay - and away I went! The thing is, I just don't work with it enuf in that depth often enuf to remember everything I learn at any given time.

If I try to repair, I get the message Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed: Connecting to the wireless network. I have tried: 1 Reinstalling the driver it says it's Ok and is the latest one listed. Is there anything I can download on my other computer onto usb and install onto either of the Eee Pc's? Like Service Pack 3 or something? My network is WPA2 Personal.

It's always worked fine with this computer. I recently reinstalled windows, having the original OS format the hard drive during the reinstall, since I wanted to get rid of all the viruses and other garbage and make the computer usable again. No familiar "Local Connection," absolutely nothing. I tried using the troubleshooter, and that didn't help me, because it kept mentioning ports to check in the device manager that weren't there.
Clicking "set up a new internet connection" and going through the options to choose the "always-on broadband" type, it just says "Your connection should already be set up" and leaves me with nothing.
I have done literally nothing with this computer save for install the OS. What could be the problem? On a side note, when I drag any windows around the screen, they lag like crazy, as though the processor is being used up completely, but I am running nothing.
Again, brand new install, so I'm kind of confused.
